The Onya Equi Showjumper Advanced Strength Plan is a 6-week, rider-specific programme for showjumpers who are confident with strength training and ready to work with heavier loads and more complex patterns. This phase focuses on developing higher levels of force production, force absorption and trunk control to support more demanding approaches, tighter lines and more controlled take-offs and landings.

 

This on-demand online programme gives you a clear, progressive structure you can follow at home (with the necessary equipment) or in the gym. Delivered through the Onya Coaching App, it is a self-guided plan with everything you need to train confidently, safely and effectively.

 

Using the Onya Equi pillars of strength, mobility-with-stability, neural control and nervous system regulation, this plan targets the high-level physical qualities riders need to handle bigger efforts and higher pressure without losing organisation.

This programme is designed to help you work on:

  • Higher levels of lower-body and posterior-chain strength to support a more secure two-point and stable landings

  • Single-leg strength and stability to help maintain straighter lines, tighter turns and quicker recovery after fences

  • Trunk stiffness and sequencing (without bracing or rigidity) for a quieter, more organised upper body over fences

  • Shoulder and scapular control for elastic, independent hands even under greater load and speed

  • Force absorption and deceleration capacity to help you manage bigger fences and variable distances

  • Load tolerance, tendon stiffness and movement symmetry to support consistent, repeatable jumping mechanics

 

You’ll train advanced strength patterns that are intended to reduce problems such as being pulled out of balance, losing the line under pressure, collapsing in corners or getting tipped forward on landing.
