The Onya Equi Showjumper Intermediate Strength Plan is a 6-week, rider-specific programme for showjumpers who already have a basic strength foundation and want to increase load, improve single-leg stability and build posterior-chain strength for more controlled approaches, turns, take-offs and landings.

This on-demand online programme gives you a clear, progressive structure you can follow at home or in the gym. Delivered through the Onya Coaching App, it is a self-guided plan with everything you need to train confidently, safely and effectively.

Using the Onya Equi pillars of strengthmobility-with-stabilityneural control and nervous system regulation, this phase is designed to develop more robust, repeatable jumping mechanics under moderate–heavy loads.

This programme is designed to help you work on:

  • Glute, hamstring and calf strength to support a more stable two-point and cleaner landings

  • Single-leg strength and control to help you maintain straighter lines, tighter turns and better balance on approach

  • Trunk stiffness (without excess tension) for a quieter, more consistent upper body

  • Shoulder and scapular strength for more elastic, independent rein contact

  • Deceleration and eccentric strength to better absorb landing forces and organise yourself more quickly afterwards

  • Load tolerance, movement consistency and left–right symmetry for more predictable riding mechanics

You’ll refine strength patterns that aim to reduce issues such as drifting off the line, getting pulled forward, collapsing in corners or relying on your hands for balance when the pace or height increases.
